two weeks notice

I quit my job today. Drew and I will be leaving Austin and moving to the Florida Keys by the end of August. I am going to relax and give birth to our baby on an island. I can think of nothing better. I will keep everyone posted on our journey. It should be an interesting one considering Drew has to drive a 6-month pregnant woman and a 150-pound great dane 1,510.48 miles.

I’ve been worried a lot lately about making the wrong decisions. Seeing this made me feel better.

23 Weeks

I apologize for the long absence. I wasn’t feeling well but I am starting to feel better. The belly is growing and the baby moves all the time now. Drew is finally able to feel the kicks.
Drew snapped the picture this morning before I left for work. I love my belly but I hate taking these pose-y pictures.

Drew and I went to a public pool yesterday to swim some laps. Everyone stared and smiled at my big belly. Although, they could have been staring at Drew in his speedo. We were quite the spectalcle.

Yum...

New favortie pregnancy snack. It comes in the mini bags which is awesome for my late afternnon snack to get me thru the work day. The pepper is spicy and deelish.

Coraline

This weekend I read Coraline. Coraline is a deliciously scary children’s book written by Neil Gaiman. It is a very short read and I highly recommend it if your in to that sort of thing. Above is the picture for the stop-motion animation film based on the book that will be coming out in 2009. I believe the same people that did Nightmare before Christmas are doing it. New Etsy Print

I ordered this guy off of Etsy. It is a Bear Monster Gocco Print by an artist named Matt Stephens. I love him and he will be framed and put in the baby’s room. I love ordering prints off of Etsy they are super cheap and usually come signed by the artist.

Oh Edward.....

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has a cover shot from the Twilight movie. Twilight being the completly nerdy teenage, vampire, romance series I have been reading. I have already talked two women at work into reading them and they are hooked. It feels good to not be alone in my nerdyness.

20 weeks

Here is my twenty-week belly. It is not the best photo but I had Drew snap it really quickly before he walked out the door for work. The belly is getting BIG. The baby should be the size of a banana by now and that really blows my mind. I can feel him move. Nothing too strong yet…just little belly flutters now and then. I love it when it happens.

Last night Marlow woke up in the middle of the night barking and it startled me awake. My heart raced a little and I swear I could feel the heartbeat in my belly get stronger. It was so crazy. I could feel my own fast heartbeat, and I could feel the baby being startled as well. I quickly calmed myself down because I felt so bad for the little guy. Being pregnant is a trip.
